Looking to Invest in International Markets in 2023 ?

Writer's picture: pfeiffp67pfeiffp67

Over the past several years, the performance of international markets have generally trailed the markets here in the United States. Will the trend continue in 2023?

For all of 2022, international markets performed somewhat in line with domestic markets – it depends whether you measure performance of the MSCI EAFE Index relative to the DJIA or the S&P 500. More specifically, last year, MSCI EAFE was down about 16.8%, which was better than the S&P 500’s loss of 19.4%, but worse than the DJIA’s loss of 8.8%.
